The Minnesota Department of Education released the annual school report card for each building and district last week. According to the Minnesota Department of Education, the school and district report card page offers a comprehensive look at Minnesota schools in an easy to read format for parents and taxpayers. Minnesota's accountability system allows parents to look at information about their entire school, not just the results of one test. Data can be easily compared between and among all schools in the state.
Osakis Public School performed very well in all areas of the report card. Anyone wishing to look at the Osakis Public School report card or any other public or charter school report card can find the information on internet. The web page is from the Minnesota Department of Education and the report card information is listed on the home page under the heading, “Academic Excellence.” The web address is http://education.state.mn.us.
In other news, please remember that school has started and children are walking and biking to school. Please slow down and give children plenty of space on the road and near bus stops. Remember to observe bus lights and stop arms because all violations must be reported.
