Building Project Update

September 19, 2008

The building referendum passed and listed here is the tentative building project schedule:

There will be three remaining phases of the project to complete before the building is finished. These phases include detailed design, bidding for materials and labor and actual construction.

The architect will work with school committees to develop detailed plans of the new areas along with renovations. These committees will visit other schools to see departments in action and visit with personnel working in these programs.

The bidding for the project will be done around the month of March. The construction manager will be doing all of the work on setting up the specifications for the bids and then advertising for the construction bids. The school board will be involved in awarding (or rejecting) bids.

The final phase for the start of the construction will be next spring (2009). The construction will continue until the start of school in the fall of 2010.

If anyone has questions, concerns or suggestions about this project, please contact me at 320-859-2191 ext. 188.
