Construction Week - August 17 to August 20

This week construction crews began work on the north side of the school, putting up walls for the high school office, fine arts entrance, and the old Headstart room. Structural steel beams were also put in place over the cafeteria area.

On the east building entrance, construction workers finished the design and laying brick on the peak of the building above the district offices.  Inside workers were prepping the office area for installation of duct work.

Crews began scrubbing and cleaning up construction debris and dirt from the blocks in the new science rooms. Steel studs, duct work and other materials have been delivered and placed in the area, while work began on interior wall removal for the new hallway.

Drainage tile was installed on the south side of the building while inside the Early Childhood Center workers continued installing utilities, taping and sanding, and working on interior carpentry. Work on the terrazzo flooring in the hallway finished out the week in this area.
